Benita Tew McNeil serves as the Head JV Coach of the Timberland Girls Basketball team. Now in her second year as coach, McNeil first got into coaching because of her love for the game! A former player herself at Berkeley High, it is her desire and passion to help the girls on her team build relationships and to be team players. One of McNeil's favorite memories so far in her young coaching career was winning against Burke High school by a few points after the team played as ONE. The smiles and excitement on the players faces will forever be etched in her heart. Each of the players played with one thing on their mind and that was to be a team player and to not give up. This season's goal is to continue to set the example by encouraging our players, listening to them, and complimenting them. TEAMWORK is what makes a GREAT Team!
