Sarah Hopwood‑Geyer (Coach Geyer) is the JV volleyball coach at Timberland High School and a special education teacher at Macedonia Middle. She has coached Timberland volleyball for five years, serving as head varsity coach from 2019–2021 before taking a season off to welcome her son, Oden. Her love for the sport brought her back as JV coach in 2022, and she has been with the program since.

A former defensive specialist and libero, Coach Geyer played volleyball for five years in middle and high school. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education from Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL), where she was honored as the “Most Outstanding” graduate in her program. Known for clear communication, a growth‑mindset approach, and high expectations, Coach Geyer focuses on skill development, teamwork, and inclusive support for every student and athlete.

Passionate about helping student‑athletes set and achieve personal goals on and off the court, she loves building strong relationships and sharing lessons that transfer beyond athletics. A hardworking educator who embraces many responsibilities to make a positive impact, you’ll often see her coaching while toting her infant and chasing her toddler — doing what she loves.
