Head Boy's Coach James Buffoni

Coach Buffoni began coaching football and baseball at the high school level during his senior year of college in 1982. Over the  years he has coached several sports including boys and girl basketball , baseball , softball, football , track and cross country. After 34 years of track and 30 of football and cross country , Coach has turned all of his attention to the running sports .  Most recently after moving from Lake Havasu City Az. Coach and his wife Michelle arrived in South Carolina and make their home in Moncks Corner  where they both work for the Berkeley County School District . Coach enjoys spending time outside walking and running with his dog and watching sports whenever possible . Life lessons learned from participation in athletics are a  very important part of education and growing up . Coach Buffoni's philosophy is that everyone can contribute something to a team and more importantly, everyone learns more from preparing for competition .

Starr

Head Girl's Coach Jessica Clemons

Jessica Clemons, known to her athletes as Coach Starr, is a fifth-year track and field coach with a strong passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the track. A former high school track and field athlete and a proud graduate of Timberland High School, Class of 2000, Coach Starr brings firsthand competitive experience to her coaching approach. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Project Management from ECPI University and is a U.S. Army veteran, instilling discipline, leadership, and resilience in her athletes.

In her five years of coaching, Coach Starr with other coaches has guided athletes to earn track scholarships, compete at the collegiate level, many athletes that place in the top eight at state championships, and achieve the ultimate honor of producing a State Champion! She remains committed to fostering hard work, confidence, and excellence in every athlete she coaches.
