Durham Ray Adkins is the Head Wrestling Coach at Hanahan High School. Coach Adkins has led the Hawk wrestling team to 11 region championships, four lower-state titles, and two state championships since 2002. Under Coach Adkins’ leadership, Hanahan High School has been home to countless individual Region Champions, six individual State Champions, 1 South Carolina Wrestler of the Year for all classifications, and 2 High School All-Americans. Under his tenure, Hanahan High School has hosted the Hawk Invitational, the largest high school wrestling tournament in the tri-county area, for 20 years. Coach Adkins has also shared the responsibility of serving as the Head Wrestling Coach for the Junior Varsity, Middle School, and Youth Wrestling teams.
