In March, six Berkeley County School District middle schools participated in SCMEA's Band Concert Performance Assessment. Groups were judged on both their performance and sight reading capabilities.
Judges could give a rating of Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent or Superior for the assessment. If a band received a Superior from all the judges, they were awarded the highest possible rating, Superior with Distinction.
